Russia IS WANTING to Tap Transatlantic Cables

Cybersecurity, NSA

The Times of London is reporting that Russian agents come in Ireland probing transatlantic communications cables.

Ireland may be the landing stage for undersea cables which bring internet traffic between The united states, Britain and European countries. The cables enable thousands of people to connect and allow financial transactions to occur seamlessly.

Garda and army sources believe the brokers were delivered by the GRU, the army intelligence branch of the Russian military that was blamed for the nerve broker attack within Britain on Sergei Skripal, a former Russian Intelligence officer.

This is nothing new. The NSA and GCHQ have got been doing this for many years.
